Love this! Presence is so important! I’m on a couch in the States as I read this, with my 22-year-old daughter on the other end of it doing her final papers of her bachelor’s degree. It is a gift.

Also, *Because of Winn-Dixie* is one of my favorites!

It’s so hard to say yes sometimes to sit and be with our kiddos. Great reminder. ❤️

Thanks for this inspiration and encouragement today, Kim. I'll be listening more closely for the Spirit nudging me to be fully present, especially with my family. It's something I've struggled with lately.

Regarding your reading list, I thought The Berry Pickers was good, too! (Although, I've read a lot of books about missing kids in the last six months! I'm ready for a new topic.) I've been wanting to check out Claire Swinarski's middle grade books for a while to see if they'd be a good fit for J. Thanks for the reminder! And Jess also recommended No Two Persons...I checked it out but had to return before I read it, so I need to try again.

Yes! Here’s to always having that struggle, but being gentle with ourselves and also remembering to pause.

Ooh, your book list is so interesting. So many books, so little time! I'll have to add a couple of those to my ever-growing To-Be-Read pile. (Also, I read Because of Winn Dixie with my son a couple of years ago. Delightful!)

As always, I enjoyed reading your words this morning when they popped into my inbox! Happy Wednesday! Thanks for sharing!

I remember these times. I remember my rushing around. The times I sat with or walked with or ran through the playground with are the memories that stick.

These times haven't left, they've grown into pastoral calls and listening to a neighbor and phone calls with loved ones and simply sitting in quiet with the one I love.

Thank you Kim.
