I love this Kim, and our tree is up too, on request of my in-laws that had to postpone their original plans to see us over the holidays due to illness. I really had to battle my own desire to take the tree down and wipe the slate clean for the new year---and yet I paused and prayed and listened. This wasn't about me, it was about making room, as you say, for another person's wish and desire. He's so good to meet us in our grumblings, and turn them into a bit more twinkly magic.
Love this, Kim. Here’s to making room. ❤️
Yes! And thanks for the nudge to write about this season!

Thanks for sharing! A good reminder that the light we can offer is always for others. Hope you had a great time continuing to celebrate!
We have, thank you 😊
❤️❤️ I'm so glad I made room for reading this piece! As always, beautiful words, Kim!
Thank you!! Grateful for you and your encouragement!
Making room, having an extra place at the dinner table… love those kinds of margins we leave for others. Thanks for writing.
Yes! Always room for others. Thanks for reading!
It’s always a joy to read.
Beautiful reflection! And I just took my tree down today (Jan. 17) but it was real and dead and messy!
Those real trees are so beautiful but so messy!! Glad you had an extended time too!
Ours is up too, but it’s real, so it’s everywhere! But last year, we were in hx over Christmas so we get to enjoy it more this year!
Bless you!
I adore real trees and have such fond memories of getting them! Someday again hopefully but I am glad for less mess!
