Such a beautiful reflection on melting into grace. I spent many days at a creek when my boys were toddlers and then we moved, and I haven’t found a creek or made this an outing since. Thank you for this reminder and prompting- I long for that presence and play! I want and need to make that little morning trip happen.

Love all of this! It looks like the very best kind of summer! There’s a little creek that winds through my favorite park here, and I love exploring it. There are others I’ve driven past that I want to check out too. I hope that the bluebirds come back and this time their eggs all hatch. (I think bluebirds are my favorite kind of bird.)

I was fully invested in the birdhouse anecdote, thankful for creation and the way God teaches us (even the lessons we don’t always want to learn) through it. Love your example of inviting your children into that!

Like Natasha said, I am collecting ideas for the my kids' future from your posts, too. I have an Isaac as well! He's 14 months. Our 3 year old is really loving graphic novels lately, especially the Max and Chaffy series. Thanks for writing and sharing with us.
I really loved this newsletter. I’m feel in the calm in that river description. And I am going to have to look into this waffle book for our kids. I have an ongoing list of books for older kid read alouds. My oldest (7) and second born (5) are finally interested in longer chapter books read aloud but the younger boys are not yet. I keep collecting ideas for their future so thank you for sharing!
